Elluminate

The Elluminate treatment is now available at both our Green Lake and Ballard locations in Seattle. Elluminate is a customized laser treatment using a combination of up to four different types of laser in a single treatment session for maximum benefit. The Nd-Yag laser is used to promote new collagen and elastin deep in the skin as well as to fight acne breakouts. The Alexandrite laser is used to remove pigmentation from sun damage (sun spots, solar lentigines, age spots). The KTP laser is used to treat vascular problems such as broken capillaries (telangiectasias), cherry angiomas, and redness from rosacea. The erbium laser is used to lightly resurface the skin. By combining multiple lasers, our clients see multiple benefits to their skin with minimal downtime. This treatment would be similar to combining our customized laser facial (treatment of individual skin targets) and our laser resurfacing (overall tone, texture, and skin health).

Right after the treatment, the skin will be very red and look like a sunburn. The vast majority of the redness is usually gone within 24 hours. Pigment spots that were treated will initially appear darker until they come to the surface and fall off. The erbium resurfacing will initially give the skin a sandpaper texture, although this is not very visible. This outer skin layer will peel off over the next week or so and will be replaced by your new, healthy skin.

There is no mandatory number of treatments. Each treatment will further improve the appearance and health of the skin. Some clients will do this treatment as a yearly maintenance session. Clients with more signs of sun damage and aging will usually benefit from a series of three treatments. Treatments are separated by at least one month.

Restrictions: Clients of all skin types can undergo the Elluminate, but some laser wavelengths are not safe for dark/pigmented skin types such as the Alexandrite and KTP lasers. Each treatment will be customized for safety and to maximize the benefit of the treatment session.
